Brittany Helton – Age 19
Brittany Helton was a 19-year-old who lived in Muncy, PA. According to her obituary, Brittany ‘would have been a sophomore at Lycoming College, where she was on the Dean’s List and was a member of the Computer Club.” On August 4, 2010 she committed suicide.
Stacy Ackerman has a web site tribute to Brittany at www.brittanyhelton.com
Ron and Christine Helton have a web site tribute to Brittany at www.bheltz.com
I have edited my original text and commentary given the comment thread below to identifying the existance of these two tribute sites.

Sun Gazette: Brittany R. Helton Obituary
——————-
RETURN TO:
Christopher,
It is wonderful that you are trying to stop bullying and getting the word out. However, myself and Britty’s father, requested that you either put the correct information on your site or remove our daughters information all together. Yes, I did not give birth to my daughter at least not in the physical form, and her adoption wasn’t final until Brittany was 16, not 17. However, that is here nor there in the sceme of things, as I have told Stacey Ackermann, you can not decide to be my child’s mother and claim to have loved her after she is gone. Again, we are asking for you to remove our daughters information…
Christine, why don’t you allow Mr. Burgess to tell the REAL truth. Ok, she was 5 months from being 17. Tell the truth for once in your life Christy and finally allow mine and Rons daughter to rest in peace. Its the least you could do after what you have ALREADY done!!!
To Ron, Christine and Stacy:
I’ve reviewed my content and reviewed the commentary from all of you. I am going to close commentary. I am also going to remove my commentary and provide my readeship with links to your respective tribute sites.
I thank you for your readership. Brittany clearly was a lovely young lady who you dearly miss. This discussion thread is not advancing my desire to avoid one more family from losing their child to suicide.
I could not agree with you more regarding getting the story out. If my daughter’s story will touch one persons life and make them think twice about doing what my Brittany did, then she did not die in vain.
Thank you again for sharing our story
Also, I would like to take the time to thank you for sharing OUR story. Brittany was Ronald Heltons and my daughter and as long as her story is out, does it really matter who is listed on her birth certificate. She shared out DNA….
My goal is to get out ahead of our children and help them through the difficult times. If the stories here help one, we are successful.

Christopher, I am indeed Brittany’s mother. I gave birth to her and did not relinquish parental rights to Brittany until she was 17, which I was forced to do at that time. None of this matters though because it is not going to bring my beautiful daughter back. May she rest in peace
I am Brittany Helton’s father. I would like to inform you that Stacey Ackermann is not her mother she gave up her parenteral rights and was adopted by my wife. Brittany’s birth certificate does not list Stacey as her mother. If you would like accurate information please feal free to contact me.
Ronald – thank you for the clarification – I have posted your comment. Sincere condolences on the loss of Brittany.
